UT HW6B: #9

No idea how to even start this or go about doing it....

You're thinking into it too much.

There's three objects here; Let's say their weights were 400 500 and 600.

That gives us a total of 1500 (yes, jellybeans). If there's 2 scales and the one on the left reads 1, the rest of the weight has to be measured by the other scale (1499), because otherwise that means all of the weight just disappeared.

So add up the three weights, and subtract that reading from the scale on the left.
