UT HW3 #12

I dont really get how to set it up. any one know how

This is really 2 problems in one. This first part is a kinematics problem to find the car's velocity when it gets to the edge of the cliff. The second part is a projectile problem. Use the velocity you found, as well as the angle they give you, to figure out the initial velocity in the x- and y- directions, and then solve the projectile.

thanks i got it. and one more question. im confused on how to you find the the direction for #11.

You find tan^-1(Ay/Ax). Now, if your Ax was negative, add 180. And if your answer comes out to more than 180 subtract 360 (because UTexas wants answers between 180 and -180 and subtracting 360 is like rotating 360 degrees: it doesn't change it)
